Newark Conservative Club
The Club offers its Members, their families and guests a wide variety of facilities.
On the Ground Floor we have the large Alexander Lounge bar, with a full kitchen, serving restaurant quality meals, a snooker room with 5 full sized snooker tables.

The Bars
Alexander Lounge
Our main bar, and dining area, situated on the Ground Floor. Seats approx 90 people. Meals are served every day the club is open, from light bites, to main meals, specials and Sunday Lunch Carvery.
Draught beers include John Smith’s Smooth bitter, Marston’s Saddle Tank Bitter, Weekly Guest Bitters.
Banks Dark Mild, Fosters Lager, Kaltengerg Lager, All spirits, large selection of wines and soft drinks.
Most of our monthly and seasonal entertainment is held in the Alexander Lounge, where we install a temporary dance floor, and regularly host acts singing songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
1st Floor Lounge
The 1st Floor Lounge bar comfortably seats 50 people. The room is split level and contains its own bar. It also has a large connecting door into the Thatcher Lounge, which offers seating for an additional 24 people, and is therefore ideal for private functions.
Please note that there is no lift to the first floor
Function Rooms
Alexander Lounge
Our main bar, and dining area, situated on the Ground Floor. At approx 52ft x 18ft, the Alexander Lounge seats approx 90 people.
This room can only be hired at limited periods
1st Floor Lounge
At approx. 40ft x 24ft, the 1st Floor Lounge bar comfortably seats 50 people. This room is split level and contains its own bar. It also has a large connecting door into the Thatcher Lounge, which offers seating for an additional 24 people, and is therefore ideal for private functions.
1st Floor Thatcher Lounge
Approx 22ft x 20ft, and containing a leather settee, four leather arm-chairs plus four sets of tables and four chairs seating approx 24 people. This is an ideal space for small functions, private dinners, or business meetings.
It also has a large connecting door into the main 1st Floor Lounge Bar, which offers seating for an additional 50 people, and is therefore ideal for larger functions including Birthday & Christmas parties, Christenings and even Weddings.
Snooker Room
Snooker Room
We have 5 full sized snooker tables in our fully refurbished snooker room. Internal Club Competitions are organised on a regular basis. We are now hosting national & international competitions
The Snooker Room also has its own bar.
Car Park
We have a large car park, and are located only 10 minutes walk from Newark town centre. Parking is on a Pay & Display basis between 8am and 6pm , charged at only £1 per 2 hours (some 33% cheaper than other Pay & Display car parks in the town.
The fee is redeemable to members on transaction at the bar of just £2 on food or drink for every £1 spent on parking, on the same day.
